This function is enabled by the Import and Export of scheduled agricultural products regulation notice No. 8 (Amendments), which became effective on 1 June 2013. Regulations have been reviewed in 2023
NAMBoard operates a marketing extension service that forms part of its farmer support and development initiatives. This service is delivered through Marketing Extension Officers (MEOs), who are regionally allocated across the country to support farmers with production and market access.
NAMBoard provides market facilitation support to farmers who are willing to work with the organization in produce marketing. This includes the signing of farmer contracts to guide smooth cooperation between NAMBoard and local farmers.
Through the Agribusiness Division, NAMBoard operates a fully-fledged farm input shop. This service ensures that farmers have timely access to essential agricultural inputs, helping them avoid delays that could affect productivity and success in agribusiness.
NAMBoard maintains strict quality assurance standards in the fresh produce market. The organization monitors produce quality from the planting phase through to the post-harvest stage to ensure that all produce meets required market specifications.
NAMBoard provides quality seedlings through its in-house nursery service to support horticultural farmers. Farmers are encouraged to visit the Farm Input Shop to place seedling orders so they can receive seedlings in bulk.
The Eswatini Horticulture Information System (EHIS) is a web-based agricultural marketing information platform focused on the horticulture sub-sector. Its purpose is to record and make available all horticultural production and market information for farmers and industry stakeholders....
