NGO Applicant Requirements

Registered Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), charitable organizations, humanitarian agencies, faith-based organizations, and other non-profit entities seeking to import Scheduled Agricultural Products (SAP) for donation, relief, humanitarian assistance, or community support purposes may apply for permits subject to the following requirements.

Required Documents

Foreign individuals applying for permits must submit the following:

Application Letter Requirements

The application letter must:

Specify the type of permit being requested.

Identify the intended beneficiaries.

State the purpose of the donation or humanitarian assistance.

Provide details of the Scheduled Agricultural Products to be imported, exported, or transited.

Identify the donor organization.

Include the country of origin and intended destination of the products, where applicable.

Important Requirement

NGOs and humanitarian organizations importing Scheduled Agricultural Products for donation purposes may be exempted from the requirement to provide a Trading Licence, provided they submit proof of legal registration and all supporting donation documentation listed above.
