Foreign Applicants (Non-Swazi Citizens)

Foreign traders from outside Eswatini who wish to apply for Import, Export, or Transit Permits from the National Agricultural Marketing Board must submit equivalent registration documents issued in their country of origin.

The application letter requirements remain the same as those for local traders.

Foreign applicants may apply either as:

1. Individuals

2. Registered Companies

Foreign Individual Applicants

Foreign individuals applying for permits must submit the following:

Valid Passport Copy

This replaces the Swazi National ID

Tax Identification Number (TIN) or Tax Registration Certificate

Issued by the applicant’s country of residence.

Business or Trading License

Issued by the relevant authority in their country.

Application Letter

Addressed to NAMBoard Permits Office requesting the specific permit.

Applicants from from South Africa

  • Passport or South African ID
  • Tax Number issued by South African Revenue Service
  • Business license or business registration (if applicable)

Applicants from from Mozambique

  • Passport
  • Mozambican NUIT (Tax Identification Number)
  • Local trading or commercial registration

Foreign Company Applicants

Foreign companies applying for permits must submit company registration documents issued by their home country.

Company Registration Certificate / Certificate of Incorporation

Proof of Business Address

Company Constitution or Governing Document Equivalent to a Memorandum of Association

Application Letter

Tax Registration Certificate o Issued by the national tax authority of the country of registration

Company Registration Forms or Official Business Registration Documents

Copies of Directors’ Identification Documents or Passports

In South Africa, companies are registered with the Companies and Intellectual Property Commission (CIPC).

Typical documents include:

  • Certificate of Incorporation

Mozambique

Companies from Mozambique usually provide

  • Commercial Registration Certificate
  • Company Statutes or Articles of Association
  • NUIT (Tax Identification Number)
  • Director identification documents

Certification of Foreign Documents

Foreign documents submitted to the National Agricultural Marketing Board should:

Be certified copies

Be translated into English if issued in another language

Clearly show the legal registration of the individual or company
